                   MIL-STD-1586A (NOTICE 1), MILITARY STANDARD: QUALITY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR SPACE AND LAUNCH VEHICLES (31 MAY 1995) [S/S BY ISO-9001 OR ASQC-Q9001 OR EQUIVALENT]., MIL-STD-1586A (USAF), dated 15 June 1989, is hereby canceledwithout replacement. Future acquisitions should refer to anacceptable non-Government Standard on quality systems, such as International Organization for Standards (1S0) 9001, "Systems, Quality - Model for Quality Assurance in Design/Development, Production, Installation and Servicing" or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Society for Quality Control(ASQC) Q9001, "Quality Systems--Model for Quality Assurance in Design, Development, Production, Installation, and Servicing", or an equivalent quality management system.
