MIL-STD-6040 (NOTICE 2)

                   MIL-STD-6040 (NOTICE 2), DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INTERFACE STANDARD: UNITED STATES MESSAGE TEXT FORMATTING PROGRAM (03 NOV 2006)., MIL-STD-6040 is UNCLASSIFIED and contains the database to provide a standardized set of USMTF messages and protocol for DoD use.  The database has been updated  annually each March and is valid for use in acquisition.   The March 2007 reissue will be published as MIL-STD-6040A.  As authorized by DISA-GE332 the DoD controlling office for this MIL-STD, the distribution restriction of this military standard remains at DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT "C" (I.E. DISTRIBUTION AUTHORIZED TO U.S. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND THEIR CONTRACTORS).  All allied releases of this standard continue to require a foreign disclosure authorization.  For a copy of this standard or any portion thereof, go to https://usmtf.disa.mil  or https://gesportal.dod.mil/sites/usmtf or https://standmgt.disa.mil/restricted/usmtf/index.html and complete the electronic access application as necessary.   Your Common Access Card (CAC) is required.  Federal offices may also obtain a copy of the MIL-STD-6040 database CD-ROM through ASSIST.   Federal contractors may obtain a copy of this MIL-STD database CR-ROM from their government POC who can access these sites.  The PA is not responsible for distribution.
