                   MIL-STD-1528A, MILITARY STANDARD: MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (09 SEP 1986) [NO S/S DOCUMENT].,  The purpose of this standard is to prescribe the manufacturingmanagement objectives and requirements which must be met by thecontractor鈥檚 manufacturing management system on any contract which incorporatesthis standard. The system shall assure effective application of manufacturingmanagement principles and methods to assure efficient manufacture, or preparationfor manufacture, of defense acquisition programs hardware. The systemshall establish, and assure application through program phases, crfterta forcapability, capacity, producibility, productivity, manufacturing planning andrisk reduction, strategic and critical materials conservation, and surge andmobilization to each aspect of hardware design, procurement, manufacture, andshipment.
