MIL-STD-1839A, MILITARY STANDARD: CALIBRATION AND MEASUREMENT REQUIREMENTS (28 OCT 1988)., This standard describes the requirement to provide a means for calibration and measurement traceability of all system, subsystem, and equipment parameters to ensure system and equipment operational integrity and accuracy. It defines the requirement for establishing measurement traceability from actual system and equipment level measurements to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other approved measurement sources.
