<p>MIL-HDBK-17-1E (VOL. 1 OF 3), DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HANDBOOK: POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITES GUIDELINES FOR CHARACTERIZATION OF STRUCTURAL MATERIALS (25 FEB 1994)., MIL-HDBK-17 provides guidelines and material properties for polymer (organic) matrix composite materials. The first three volumes of this handbook currently focus on, but are not limited to, polymeric composites intended for aircraft and aerospace vehicles. Metal matrix composites (MMC), ceramic matrix composites (CMC), and carbon/carbon composites (C/C) will be covered in separate volumes as developments occur.</p>
