MIL-STD-3015 (NOTICE 1), DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INTERFACE STANDARD: SATELLITE DATA LINK STANDARD (SDLS) FOR ADVANCED EXTREMELY HIGH FREQUENCY (AEHF) EXTENDED DATA RATE (XDR) UPLINKS AND DOWNLINKS (02 MAR 2005)., MIL-STD-3015 is a classified (SECRET/NOFORN) document that contains technicalstandards and design objectives for use by all Military Departments and Agencies intheir systems requiring space/ground communications operating in the 44/20 GHz bandand which support data rates from 75 bps to 8192 kbps for XDR up and down links forsatellites in near circular, geosynchronous orbits. This standard can also be adopted foruse in other types of orbits, after consideration of specific orbital parameters. Thisstandard will ensure terminal-to-satellite and terminal-to-terminal interoperabilitybetween compliant satellites and terminals.
