MIL-STD-1944, MILITARY STANDARD: POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITES (10 JUN 1985) ., This standard is intended to be used as a guide tostandard test methods, material and process specifications, and qualificationprocedures for polymer matrix composite materials. This standard is alsointended, for use in the preparation of material and process specifications.This standard is applicable to thermoplastic and thernoset composites based ona wide variety of fiber reinforcements and forms including carbon, graphite,S2-glass, E-glass, quartz, aramid, boron and poIycrystalline alumina, in wovenfabric, unidirectional tape and roving. This standard applies to reinforcedplasticg and/or 鈥渁dvanced composite鈥?materials (See also Appendix F). Thisstandard is 鈥渋ntended as a general guide and it is the responsibility ofexperienced engineering personnel to determine the applicability of itscontents to a specific application.
