                   MIL-HDBK-304B, MILITARY STANDARDIZATION HANDBOOK PACKAGE CUSHIONING DESIGN (31 OCT 1978). This document provides basic and fundamental information on cushioning materials and their uses. It will provide valuable information and guidance to engineering and technical personnel concerned with designing cushioning systems and specifying required cushioning for protecting fragile equipment. This handbook is not intended to be referenced in purchase specifications except for informational purposes, nor shall it supersede any specification requirements. Every effort has been made to reflect the latest information on the use of cushioning materials and designing cushioning systems for fragile equipment. It is the intent to review this handbook periodically to insure its completeness and currency.
